5 out of 5 Stars
"Demon Kiss is a fast-paced, tragic, triumphant, romantic, inspirational, emotionally loaded, powerful story. It grabs you from the first sentence and doesn't let you go! This is a "cover to cover, hope you downloaded book three on the same day" read." Beverly Sharp, The Wormhole Reviews

5 out of 5 Stars
"The author has written it in such a way that you sigh, you laugh, you cheer, you cringe, you cry right along side with the characters and to me that's an essential element to a good story. I loved the storyline of The Demon Kiss and how the author introduces twists you never see coming. This is definitely not a boring read and its one that will keep you up all night reading frantically because you can't bare to put it down for a second." Belinda Boring, The Bookish Snob & The Romance Reviews

The Demon Kiss Of Witches and Warlocks Book 2 eBook Lacey Weatherford

This is the really good, nerve wracking, completely engrossing follow-up to The Trouble with Spells. It comes complete with detective work, spying and arguing. There is heartbreak, heartache, and loss.

Author Lacey Weatherford does a fantastic job creating a story that is so captivating; it is hard to put down. With revelations at every turn and a very interesting plot, this is definitely a cover to cover read.

There is not a lot of character development beyond what is learned in The Trouble with Spells, and this book is also plagued with the same typo and editing problems. Other than those issues, this is a very good book. 4 1/4 stars.

Second book is better than the first. Am now going to buy book three. The mushy stuff gets a little much sometimes, however the community and family closeness is outstanding. This series reaches down deep into your soul and is a very nice read. Try it u won't be sorry!
I like the characters and it was fun. I highly recommend this author. Cancer is adorable. The story is sweet. I just have a hard time with them bring so young. But at that age every love affair is all consuming.
This book picks up where Trouble With Spells left off. Vance & Portia reunite and then look for Damien. The story gets darker from here as V&P search for Vance's father, Damien, and they discover about the Demon Kiss. Damien sounds like Satan himself making you afraid for V&P and what they'll find when they do find his father. If you enjoyed book #1, you'll enjoy this and the rest of the series.
I read the first book completely I do understand that this is a YA book. I don't want to chew up this book and spit it out. But to give a honest answer on how I feel about this book I might have to.

At the end of the of the first book there was plenty of room for this series to really start growing with plots, twist, character development and so forth. This book gave none of that. The book still claims that Vance is very powerful, really nobody but the author really knows that for sure since there was nothing in the book to really prove that. Magic still causes no tiredness or weakness, no mental fatigue after using it (even Luke Skywalker had to train to learn how to use the force) these characters can do it all.

Honestly this whole book could be summed up more than easily with in 1 to 2 paragraphs and not very much being lost in the translation.

Vance and Portia kiss a lot. Plot Spoiler won't mention, but it will come into play with being a senior in high school at this point. You have a bunch more kissing in front of everybody. You learn what the demon kiss is in about 1 or 2 sentences. The author continues to say Vance is very powerful (would have been nice with a very intense battle scene). The 1 fight scene very weak at best, and over just as fast (so both Portia and Vance could continue to kiss).

Hate to say but that was as interesting as the book got to me, and after trimming the fat off of the book that is all that is left of the book with the exception of a few minor details. I do agree a lot with what Beth "bethohio3" had to say about the writing style of the book. This book had a lot of that it could have offered but didn't follow through.
No spoilers.

Fast paced, and a real page turner.

I loved this book as much as book one, if not more! At least I didn't have to pause to read the next book (three) this time, as I'd bought book three at the same time as book two - but I couldn't get three open fast enough.

I do believe I've found another Favourite author.

This series will be going onto my 'read again pile' for sure.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!
This is book two in the series Witches and Warlocks. Vance and Portia's characters are maturing, traveling from their small town out of state and to exotic places, and new people are falling into the trap of Damien, Vance's evil father. They form new alliances and discover the secrets run deep and are sickly. I like that Portia is learning her self worth. She's getting a backbone and kicking back. Every time I thought the suspense was slowing down, it rose to new heights.
I chose this rating simply for the trueness that Lacey chose to continue on with the storyline that picks up where book 1 left off from. I read a comment about the numerous times (negatively speaking was the comment someone made), she had the couple confess their love for one another but that didn't' bother me, nor did it affect nor deter me from continuing to read to the end. The story was good and enjoyable, pushing me now to book 3. I'm glad I treated myself to books 2-5, on my Christmas gift, my Fire...I downloaded book 1, to go with the set. Now I can share them, and 're-read them over and over again.
